One of the most beautiful areas in the Pocono Mountains is the Delaware Water Gap, where 40 miles of the Delaware River run briskly between high bluffs and forested shores.
The Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is a boon for canoeists, kayakers, hikers and scenery seekers. Spectacular Bushkill Falls, near a Native American museum, is worth the short hike.
Then, return to grassy, wooded and open sites at the Delaware Water Gap KOA, which is under new ownership. Groups are welcome and can gather in the meeting pavilion. Play Saturday bingo in season at the KOA, which also offers hayrides and miniature train rides.
